07.02 Renal / Nephro [PDF link]: Acute tubular necrosis (ATN). Acute interstitial nephritis (AIN). Nephritic vs nephrotic syndrome. Diabetic nephropathy. Lupus nephritis. ANCA glomerulonephritis. Myeloma kidney.

Internal links

  • 15.10 Nephrotic syndrome / minimal change disease in children

  • 12.03 Systemic lupus erythematosus

  • 12.04 ANCA-related disorders

  • 10.02 Multiple myeloma

Renal immunology screen: C3, C4, ANA, ENA, dsDNA, ANCA, anti-GBM antibodies, RF, immunoglobulins (all in yellow/gold top)

  • Extractable nuclear antigens (ENA) include anti-SS-A/Ro, anti-SS-B/La, anti-Sm D, anti-RNP anti-Jo-1 and anti-SCL-70. If ENA is positive, then subtypes will be processed.

Presumably when you send above, Renal would also want baseline bloods including FBC, U&Es, bone profile, etc.

If they are interested in a myeloma screen (see 10.02), also include serum protein electrophoresis and serum-free light-chain assay (also in yellow/gold top).
